Home Office Reveal

When I first started working from home, 3 years ago, I didn’t care about having an office. I was excited to work on my couch and wear sweatpants. The thought of not having a strict schedule and walking to my kitchen to have lunch was unbelievable!

Anyways we didn’t have room in our condo for me to set up a space. Eventually I put a desk in our bedroom which was pretty big, but I hated having it there. Even though I love my work, I hated looking at my desk every night before bed.

Being a workaholic will do that to you!

Fast forward to buying a new house last year and a dedicated office for me was our first priority. I'm super lucky that Adam felt it important enough to have on the top of his list too! We even passed on a couple of places we liked because they didn’t have the right space for me.

After a year of living here in #LuckyLot13, I can finally say I’m grateful for this space. I needed it. A place where I can shut the door, keep all my stuff together and “leave” when work is done.

At first I kind of avoided it. I'm a perfectionist and I didn't have the time to set up the "perfect" space. Stupid. The perfect space doesn't exist. I just needed to get in there and set up something that was great for me right now.

It’s still a work in progress, but here’s what I’m rocking so far. It’s begging for some colorful wallpaper, fun curtains, art on the walls and some fun furniture. Doesn’t matter right now though because it’s exactly where I’m supposed to be at this moment.
